Much nicer than my 20 yr old generic folding windscreens. These are half the weight and fold to half the thickness, for the same length and only 1/2 inch less height. I wrap with all 12 panels for protecting a very low flame when baking in a big pan in camp. Half as much might be enough for protecting a full flame in the wind.

a good lightweight windscreen. has pins to stake in the ground. now, I say lightweight because each panel is a very THIN piece of aluminum, which means it is very susceptible to bending. just be careful. if you really mess a panel up, you can take it out and it should still work. now, times that small weight buys 8 or 12 and you have a package that is not exactly light but still worth EVERY gram. looking for a cheap windscreen for your camp/backpack setup? look no further, you will not be disappointed. I have to say I was a Lil worried about ordering this. But it’s great. I’m super happy with it. The travel case is just fine. Now, mind you. I haven’t taken it out on the road yet as I just got it. But I’m using it (testing) on a candle cuz the fan is on. And the quality is better than I had expected. So I don’t foresee any problems. But as mentioned it’s still new. But seems good. I have one burner and for sure enough room for that. Have fun!

Got the product two days after placing my order, and try out on my balcony the next morning. The aluminum panels are heavy and sturdy, long enough to protect my canister + stove combo against the wind. A good feature, you can pull off individual panels as needed. For my canister +stove combo, 6 panels are enough and I could reduce the carrying weight if backpacking. 10 panels total would be versatile enough for most camping stoves.

It is apparently designed for placing in the ground; however, we want it for the burner next to the outdoor grill, therefore it won’t stay on if the wind is over 2-3 mph. However we solved the problem by adding 1/2” button magnets with stickers on one side (or you can crazy glue them on) and then the magnets hold the aluminum screen on the burner’s edge, keeping it upright even in up to 15mph (so far) wind. This way we can also take it camping for the butane or propane burner. There may be other solutions, but this one works as well. Only better improvement if it had come with button magnets for versatility, but still recommend. The carry bag is a bit tight and thin so not sure how long it will last with a lot of use, but it does give you a place to keep it all folded up.
